Jerrold “Jerry” Fras

Jerrold “Jerry” Bronson Fras age 56 of Cookeville, Putnam Co., TN passed from this life on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at his residences.

Jerrold “Jerry” Bronson Fras was born on Sunday, October 08, 1967 in Flint, Genesee County Michigan to James Fras and the late Marilyn (Elmore) Fras. Jerrold who went by Jerry was a very nice and caring man. He loved his family and friends very much. He endoyed sports and loved watching the Michigan Wolverines and we are so proud that he got to see them win the championship. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. GO BLUE!!!!!

Survivors: Wife of 5 years: Gina Fras; 1 Son: Jerrold Fras II; 1 Daughter: Samantha Fras; Father: James Fras; 1 Brother: Jim Fras and his wife Debbie; 1 Sister: Janelle Johnson and her husband Bill; Nieces and Nephews: James Fras III, Brittany Johnson, Bekah Fras, Philip Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, Aundrae Fras; 2 Great Nieces: Harleen Fras, Scarlett Fras and one on the way; 2 Great Nephews: Liam Johnson, Jaxson Johnson; 2 Brothers In-Law: Jamie Harris, Joe Harris; 1 Sister In-Law: Rhonda Harris; His best friend Greg Lyden;

Preceded in death by: Mother: Marilyn Elmore Fras.

Services / Burial:  Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Fras were held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 2 PM from the Hall Funeral Home with burial followed in the Matthews Cemetery located on the Windle Community Road in Overton Co. Family welcomed friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, February 20th starting at 4 PM until 9 PM. Officiating with the service was Bro. Steven Barlow.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pauline Carter

Mrs. Pauline W. Carter age 85 of Livingston, Overton Co., TN passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Signature Health Care in Jamestown, Fentress Co., TN.

     Mrs. Pauline W. Carter was born in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY on Wednesday, May 18, 1938, to the late John Franklin and Willie Jewell (Spears) Willis. Pauline was a member of the Cullom Church of Christ; she loved spending time with her family and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she loved her church family. Pauline will be greatly missed by her family and friends and by all who knew her.

     Survivors: 1 Son: Doug Carter and his wife Sherry; 1 Daughter: Tammy Dishmon and her husband Tim; 2 Brothers: Leo (Brenda) Willis, Gene (Catherine) Willis; 3 Sisters: Josephine (Teston) Gilpatrick, Cleo Walker, Madine (Leanard) Carmack; 4 Grandchildren: Lucas (Jessica) Carter, Tabaitha Dishmon and Jon Hammitt, Tyler (Nikki) Stephens, Shelby Stephens and Johnny Reid; 9 Great Grandchildren: Maddie, Grayson Zane Carter, T J Stephens, Annabelle and Junior Reid, Carter and Beau Hammitt and Allysa; a host of other family members and friends also survive.

     Preceded in death: In addition to her parents; Husband: Owen red Carter; 1 Daughter: Deborah Lynn Stephens; 1 Son: Greg Carter; 4 Brothers: Paul Willis, Roy Willis, Virgil Willis, Phillip Willis; 2 Sisters: Claudine Willis, Arlene Pardue.

    Pallbearers: Leo Willis, Eddie Gilpatrick, Charlie Sells, Tim Dishmon, Doug Carter, Lucas Carter.

    Services/Burial: Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline W. Carter were held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10 AM from the Hall Funeral Home with burial followed in the Overton Co. Memorial Gardens. Family welcomed friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, February 23rd starting at 5 PM until 8 PM. Officiating with the service was Bro. James Allen Thrasher.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Larry T. Smith

Mr. Larry T. Smith age 61 of Monroe, Overton Co., TN passed from this life at his residence on Saturday morning, February 24, 2024. 

     Mr. Larry T. Smith was born in Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana on Tuesday, April 03, 1962, to the late Tom Carson. and Mary Ada (Wilborn) Smith. Larry was a member of the Willow Grove Church of Christ. Larry loved his family and church family very much, he was a hard worker and he was a history buff. He graduated from Tennessee Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

     Survivors: 1 Sister: Denise Copeland and her husband William; 1 Brother: Jerry Smith; 3 Nephews: Wes Copeland, Zachary Smith, Riley Smith; 1 Niece: Lilly Smith. A host of other family members and friends also survive.

     Preceded in death: His parents: Tom Carson. and Mary Ada (Wilborn) Smith

     Services/Burial:  Funeral services for Mr. Larry T. Smith were held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 1 PM from the Hall Funeral Home with burial followed in the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in the Monroe, Overton Co., TN. Family welcomed friends to the funeral home on Tuesday morning, February 27th starting at 9 AM until funeral time at 1PM. Officiating with the service was Bro. Wayne Taylor.
