Kathleen “Kat” McCoin

Kathleen “Kat” McCoin, age 55, of Murfreesboro, has walked thru Heaven’s Gate on October 23, 2021 to her eternal home where God has wiped away all of her tears; where there is no more death, no sorrow, nor crying, no more pain.

Kathleen is preceded in death by: her son, Travis Dakota Fennessey; grandparents, Carl and Katherine Hammond and Reuben Henry and Martha McCoin.

Kathleen is survived by: mother, Katherine “Kay” McCoin of Murfreesboro: her father and step mother, Bobby Dan and Barbara McCoin of Livingston: her sisters and brothers; Kashia Marie McCoin, Johnny McCoin, Rita McCoin and Danny McCoin. She leaves behind two lifelong friends; Bethany Mullins and Kelly Hurley who loved her dearly.

A family Memorial will be held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Graveside Services will be held at Carter Bilbrey Cemetery, Highland Mountain Road, Livingston, TN 38570. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations, financial, memorials contributions to be made to Carter Bilbery Cemetery, Alive Hospice or the charity of your choice.

Joel Douglas Copeland

Joel Douglas Copeland, 59, of Livingston, passed away Oct. 24 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. Graveside services were held Oct. 27 from the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dee Moore and Rev. James Shenko officiating.

He was born Dec. 21, 1961 in Livingston. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Livingston. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf and working.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Sam Douglas and Neda Rose Thompson Copeland; and sister, Myra White.

Surviving relatives include: son, Jacob Copeland of Portland; granddaughter, Kayla Copeland of Portland; nieces, Jordan Welch and husband, Jeff, Lora Cothron and husband, Bill and son Greyson; mother of his son, Mel; aunts, Mary Belle Jolly and Jessie Parrott; and several cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Lucas Holt, Johnny Vaughn, Gib Jolley, Kevin Fleming, Scott McCormick and Levi Cobble. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Crabtree, Ward Phipps, Dale Tollett, Lawrence Hawkins and William McCormick.

Carolyn P. Davis Edwards

Carolyn P. Davis Edwards, 72, of Livingston, passed away Oct. 25 from her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Knoxville.

She was born Oct. 2, 1949 in Knoxville. She was Christian in Faith, a college graduate and served in the U.S. Air Force.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Lois EuBanks; life long companion, Steve Nicely; and granddaughter, Latoya Watts.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Harold Watts and wife, Michelle of Knoxville and Daniel Bright of Knoxville; daughter, Melissa Lifford of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, Teena Grubb, Samuel Watts and Danielle Fields and husband, Jeremy; great grandchildren, Aiden Mills, Gabriel Buchanan, Londyn Fields and Hunter Fields; and sisters, Rebecca Jackson, Ann EuBanks and Teresa Smith.

Marquette Cross Anderson

Marquette Cross Anderson, 71, of Livingston, passed away Oct. 26 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. A private service will be conducted at a later date.

She was born April 14, 1950 in Ardmore. She worked for many years as a office manager. She loved shopping and was very knowledgeable in retail management. She loved taking care of her fur babies and her spa says getting her hair and nails done. She was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge International.

She was preceded in death by: parents, James Bryan and Louella Bryant Cross; husband, Norman Anderson; and brothers, Jimmy, Gary and Barry Cross.

Surviving relatives include: daughters, Michelle Wolfe and husband, Jeff of Freeport, IL, Julie Anderson and husband, David Balt of Hilham and Rachell Cross and husband, Chris Branstetter of Livingston; grandchildren, Morgan Burke, Travis Prendota, Nicholas Burke, Shawn Wolfe, Julia Wolfe, Benjamin Branstetter, Chris Branstetter, Jr. and Briella Branstetter; and sister, Kathy Green of Dallas, Texas.

James Delon Copeland

James Delon Copeland, 75, of Livingston, passed away Oct. 27 from the Overton County Health and Rehab. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at a later date.

He was born March 17, 1946 in Overton County. He was a block and brick mason for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and being in the outdoors, where he was known by his friends and family as mountain man.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Herman and Stella Gore Copeland; brother, Howard Copeland; and sister, Agnes Vaughn.

Surviving relatives include: brothers, Joe Copeland of Hilham, Shirley Copeland of Livingston and Allon Copeland of Livingston; sisters, Dortha Carr of Livingston, Linda Howell and husband, Wayne of Gainesboro and Irene Smith and husband, Bobby of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.

Joy Seabolt Winningham

Joy Seabolt Winningham, 84, of Livingston, passed away Oct. 27 from the Overton County Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held Oct. 29 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Scott officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.

He was born Nov. 16, 1936 in Morgan County. She was Baptist in Faith and enjoyed visiting older people and taking them food. She was known for her candy she made around the holidays, her tomato garden and her many variety of flowers.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Henry and Grace Fletcher Seabolt; husband, Ovid Winningham; brothers, Lonnie Seabolt, Donnie Seabotl, Harold Fletcher and Troy Seabolt; and sisters, Rita Kay Seabolt and Kathleen Rugby Seabolt.

Surviving relatives include: daughter, Sherry Munn and husband, Skip of Smyrna; granddaughter, Haley Munn of Smyrna; sister, Bonnie Conatser and husband, Don of Allardt; and step sons, Charles Winningham and wife, Melanie of Hilham and Duane Winningham and wife, Barb of Columbia.

Pallbearers were Larry Norris, Sam Winningham, Robert Mick, Ben Winningham, Skip Munn and Gary Ledbetter.

Debra Sue Cardwell Morris

Debra Sue Cardwell Morris, 64, of Livingston, passed away Oct. 29 from Livingston Regional Hospital. There are currently no services scheduled.

She was born Oct. 24, 1957 in Knox County. She loved eating pizza, going shopping, fashion and cooking for others.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Paul H. and Lorena Drinnon Cardwell.

Surviving relatives include: brother, Dr. Paul Harman Cardwell, Jr. of College Station, TX; step father, James Brewer of Clinton; one uncle; two aunts; and friends and family at New Life Supportive Living.

Skyler Everitt Smith

Skyler Everitt Smith, 25, of Cookeville, passed away Oct. 30 from Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 2 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro, Josh Nave and Bro. Kenny Simmons officiating.

He was born Oct. 16, 1996 in Overton County. He always enjoyed working on vehicles, building vapes, racing trucks and doing burn outs. He also enjoyed playing basketball and loved to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by: grandfather, Roger Dale Smith.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Destiny Smith of Cookeville; mother, Tina Gilpatrick Vaughn of Livingston; father, Steven Smith of Livingston; sisters, Jordan Savage of Livingston, Sydney Smith of Cookeville, Storm Smith of Nashville and Kaia Vaughn of Livingston; brothers, Austin Smith of Livingston and Xander Vaughn of Livingston; grandparents; great grandparents; several nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, in laws, friends and relatives.

Gloria Sells

Gloria Sells, 82, of Monroe, passed away. Funeral services were held Oct. 31 from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Daniel Masiongale and Bro. Eric Dillon officiating. Interment followed in the Bethsaida Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 2, 1939 in Monroe. She was a member of Bethsaida Christian Church, a school teacher and farmer.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Herbert and Junnie Sells; and brother in law, Hoover Storie.

Surviving relatives include: sisters, Dolores Storie and Judy Garrett and husband, Michael; brothers, Jerry Sells and wife, Joyce and Jimmy Sells and wife, Jane; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Grady Garrett, Jared Garrett, Jason Garrett, Jimmy Sells, Jr., Joshua Sells and Cade Williams.
