The City of Livingston moved a proposed townhouse development one step closer Monday night.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the first reading of an ordinance to rezone two parcels of property belonging to William Clark on E. Main St. to help make way for the project.
The land near S. Hillcrest Dr. is currently zoned for General Commercial (C-3) and Low Density Residential (R-1). Cody Campbell, who represented Clark at the meeting, is interested in buying the land from its current owner if he can get the land rezoned for High Density Residential (R-2).
