The Upper Cumberland Family Justice Center opened a satellite campus last Friday in Overton County to help serve victims of domestic violence within the Overton, Clay and Pickett County areas.
Thirteenth District Attorney General Bryant C. Dunaway says this campus was imagined just a few years ago, but was realized last week.
This community addition opens a world of resources for victims of abuse and allows them a safe space to easily navigate the justice center.
Site Coordinator Brittany Shaw led with opening remarks thanking the many community partners.
She thanked the Board of Directors and stated, “These members didn’t hesitate when the mention of starting up a family justice center for Overton County and welcomed the Overton County members with open arms.”
