Alderman Are Shown Various Airport Projects

Airport Board Chairman Jason Duke gave the Board of Alderman a tour of current and future planned projects at the airport using their Federal and State funds that pay for 95% of approved projects.

The current projects for 2021 and 2022 are the land acquisition and fencing project and the update of the master Airport Layout Plan.

Upcoming projects, 2023 and beyond, are the relocation of the fuel farm to a larger area that will allow larger turboprop and jet aircraft to fuel on a flat area off of the main apron, and the planned parallel taxiway extension that will open up the airport property along Airport Road and Bill White Lane for commercial hangars and businesses servicing aircraft to locate on airport property.
