Leigh Ann Simcox

Leigh Ann Simcox, 72, of Livingston, passed away on June 16 from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services were held on June 20 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Tommy Jones officiated. Interment followed in the Good Hope Cemetery.

She was born in Chicago, Ill., on July 31, 1948. She loved her family, spending time with her friends, going to the lake, cooking and taking care of others.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Terry and Johnnie Stout Johnson; husband, Doyle Simcox; and sister, Nancy Young.

She is survived by: daughter, Tracy Palmer of Livingston; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wright of Jamestown; sisters, Sherry Maynord and husband, Rick of Livingston and Angela Gore of Hannibal, N.Y.; and brother David Johnson and wife, Leta of Gallatin.

Pallbearers who served were Chris Thornton, Brad Thornton, Robbie Maynord, Cole Cooper, Tommy Jones and Cody Gore.

 

Maxine Harvey

Maxine Harvey, 82, of the Taylors Crossroads Community, passed away on June 14 from her residence. Funeral services were held on June 17 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Wayne Taylor officiated. Interment followed in the Nelson Cemetery.

She was born on Oct. 5, 1938 in Carmi, Ill. She loved spending time with her family, sewing, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and watching westerns.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Earl and Irene Ninness Pollard; husband, Doyles “Chigger” Harvey; son, Timothy Harvey; daughter, Debra Harvey; brothers, George Pollard, Robert Pollard, Kenny Pollard, Bill Pollard and Clarence Pollard; sisters Violet Ashby, Viola Carty, Margaret Pollard and Judy Pollard.

She is survived by: daughter, Renee Wilborn and husband, Ronald; sons, Steve Harvey and Alex Harvey; grandchildren, Aaron Harvey, Andy Harvey, Shayna Harvey and Dustin and Brandon Wilborn; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; brother, Roy Pollard of Thailand; sisters Helen Sexton of Carmi, Ill., Mable Todd of Enfield, Ill. and Betty Hosick and husband, Tom of Enfield, Ill.

Pallbearers who served were Ronald Wilborn, Dustin Wilborn, Brandon Wilborn, Aaron Harvey, Terry Pollard and Tommy Hosick.

 

Mary Leola Vaughn

Mary Leola Vaughn, 84, of Cookeville, passed away at her residence on Jun 13. Funeral services were held on June 15 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston. Interment followed in the Highland Cemetery. Bro. Harold Walker officiated.

She was born in Monterey on June 5, 1937.

She was preceded in death by: parents, McKinley and Dora Phillips; husband, Rudy Vaughn; sons, Wayne Vaughn and Doug Vaughn; brothers, Eugene Phillips and Lonzo Phillips and sister, Willie Collier.

She is survived by: sister, Alene Pilkerton; daughter, Brenda (Dwight) Thomas; grandchildren, Brad (Heather) Thomas, Amy Ellis, Trisha (Jonathan) Chamber, Brianna Vaughn and Olivia Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Emily Thomas, Maddison Ellis and Makennah Ellis; special family, Sarah Davison, Rhonda Pierce, Heather Kluchurosky, Haley Bloyd, Kaydin Hutchinson, Hunter Kluchurosky, Jae’sen Streaty, Kingstin Streaty, Treson Streaty and Aubriana Streaty.

 

 

Gary Eugene Hunter

Gary Eugene Hunter, 61, of Cookeville, passed away on June 15 from his residence. Funeral services were held on June 17 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Algood City Cemetery. Bro. Clarence Jerod officiated.

He was born in Cookeville on July 23, 1959. He was a truck driver for many years. He loved his family and friends very much and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by: father, Bob Hunter; and daughter, Tara Hunter.

He is survived by: wife, Rosabel Hunter; mother, Reba Hunter; sister, Pat Nash; brother, Greg Hunter: a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers who served were Matt Hunter, Trey Hunter, Chase Hunter, Trevor Helmuth, Keven Yoder, Jason Fletcher and Lynn Shoemake.

 

Tammie Lynn Green

Tammie Lynn Green, 52, of Livingston, passed away on June 13 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held on June 16 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Paul Lawson officiated. Interment followed in the Green Family Cemetery.

She was born in Elkhart, Ind., on Nov. 18, 1968. She worked in the health care system as an RN and loved her family very much.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Ivan and Phyllis (Moore) Green.

She is survived by: fiancé, Mark Buttry; daughter, Gina Marie Lisi; sons, Marco Antonio Lisi and wife, Whitney, Ricardo Emilio Lisi III and John Anthony Lisi; sisters, Sheila and Tina (Ronnie); brothers, Ivan Jr. (Jane), Michael (Barbara) and David (Tabitha); grandchildren, Gabby, Lucca and Angelia; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Crissy, Adam, Amber, Ashley, Zach, Braxton, Mandy, Michael Jr., Jonathan, Cassie, Linzie, Emily and Anna.

Pallbearers who served were Christopher Presley, Adam Green, Zach Green, Braxton Green, Jonathan Green, Ivan Green, Jr., Michael Green and David Green.

 

 

Ruby Jewel Leslie

Ruby Jewel Leslie, 74, of Livingston, passed away on June 15 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held on June 19 from the First Freewill Baptist Church in Livingston. Interment followed in the Ruth Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Darrek Copeland and Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiated.

She was born on June 3, 1947. She enjoyed a long career at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, Ind. Upon returning to Tennessee she worked for many years at and retired from A.H. Roberts Elementary School. She loved her family and friends very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by: parents; brother, Freddie Murphy; sister, Linda Murphy Olmstead; grandparents Cordell and Dewey Hargis and Leslie and Cora Murphy.

She is survived by: husband, Keith Leslie; son, Gregory Phillips; sister, Sue Ledbetter and husband, Glen; brother, Richard Murphy and wife, Gail; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
