Traditional testing is now available Monday through Friday at the Overton County Fairgrounds from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
The Stephens Center Parent-Child
Spring 2021, Series II: Wednesdays 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sessions are held at the Stephens Center, located at 616 North Church St., Livingston. UCDD Offers Relative Caregiver, Housing
Are you raising a relative child or need housing assistance? For more information on assistance and support, please contact Melissa Allison at the Upper Cumberland Development District toll-free at 1-877-275-8233. A support group meeting will be held for relatives that are caring for relative children during the month of March 2021. L.B.J. & C. Head Start is currently accepting applications to provide free comprehensive child development services to children 3-5 years of age for all children including children with disabilities in a full day program. School Readiness and well-being of children is the primary goal at L.B.J. & C. Head Start. L.B.J. & C. Head Start serves children virtually and traditionally and also focuses on family well-being. American Legion Dance
The SlickNickel band is returning to Livingston for an evening of dancing and country music on Friday, April 2 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the American Legion Post in Livingston located at 121 S. Church St. Face coverings are recommended. All dances are family friendly and open to the public, membership not necessary. Concessions are available.
The L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation Head Start Centers and the Central Office will be closed April 2 in observance of Good Friday.
Solid Waste Convenience Centers
All Overton County Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be closed April 2 in observance of Good Friday. The facilities will reopen April 3.
Livingston Trash Routes
Garbage routes in the Town of Livingston will temporarily change in order for the City to observe Good Friday. Trash will not be picked up on Friday, April 2. Friday’s trash route will be picked up on Monday, April 5.
Coffee With A Vet
Livingston’s American Legion Post 4 and Auxiliary Unit 4 along will be hosting “Coffee with a Veteran” on Saturday April 3 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at American Legion Post 4 headquarters located at 121 S. Church St., Livingston. The Legion welcomes the public and those who have served or who are currently serving in our armed forces to come and have coffee, conversation, and enjoy the comradeship.
The monthly meeting of the L.B.J. & C. Head Start Policy Council has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 6 beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation, 1150 Chocolate Drive, Cookeville.
Livingston American Legion And Auxiliary Meeting
The Livingston American Legion and Auxiliary will hold their monthly meetings on Tuesday, April 6 at post headquarters located at 121 S. Church St. The Auxiliary meets at 5:30 p.m. and the Legion meeting begins at 6 p.m.
Overton County Kindergarten Pre-registration will be Monday, April 12. This will be in-person or call in. Call your school to schedule an appointment.
The Overton County Commission will meet Monday, April 12 at 5 p.m. at the Overton County Courthouse for their regularly scheduled meeting.
Board of Directors Meeting
The L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation Board of Director’s will hold their bi-monthly meeting Tuesday, April 13 at the L.B.J.& C. Development Corporation, 1150 Chocolate Drive, CookevilleThe meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) will hold a commodities distribution for Overton County (Hanging Limb) on Tuesday, April 13, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Hanging Limb Fire Department. Sign up will be available at the distribution site. Benefit For Steven Smith
Steven Smith was diagnosed with Moya Moya, which is a rare chronic and progressive condition of the arteries in the brain. A benefit to support his medical and living expenses will be held May 1 at the Joe L. Evins Community Center. Auction will begin at 4 p.m.
