James Hummel

James Oman Hummel, 82, of Livingston passed away March 12 from Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held March 15 at the Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Brett Gibbons officiated.

He was born in the Willow Grove Community on Feb. 15, 1939. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and was retired from General Motors. After his retirement, he moved his family back to Tennessee where he enjoyed cattle farming and horse trading.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Carvell Cordell and Dessie B. Dennis Hummel; brothers, Freeman, Shorty, Wayman and Carlos Hummel.

He is survived by: wife, Debra Lambert Hummel of Livingston; daughters, Leslie Reeder and husband, Randy of Livingston, Angelina McDonald of Allons and Candice Biddle and husband, Tyson of Allons; grandchildren, Andrew Reeder and wife, Ashleigh, Brady Reeder, Trista Kruep and husband, Drake, Taylor Whited, Kami Jo Covey and Tessa Cate Biddle; great-grandson, Aksel Kruep; sisters, Anna Dean Maples of Richmond, Ind., Angeline Eversole of Kansas and Genell Jones of Livingston and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Randy Reeder, Andrew Reeder, Brady Reeder, Joe Covey, Tyson Biddle and Tyler Biddle.

Geneva Crabtree

Geneva Little Crabtree, 101, of Monroe passed away March 10 from her residence. Graveside services were held March 13 at the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Steven Barlow officiated.

She was born in Monroe on Oct. 3, 1919. She was a member of the Monroe Christian Church and enjoyed being around her family, gardening, reading, traveling and going to church.

She is preceded in death by: parents, Huey and Nannie Fletcher Little; son, Billy Crabtree; six brothers and a sister.

She is survived by: son, Roger Crabtree and wife, Linda of Commerce Township, Mich.; daughters, Betty Sera and husband, Lou of Oxford, Mich., Carol Simonetti and husband, Tony of Auburn Hills, Mich. and Diane Aldridge and husband, Mike of Monroe; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and sister, Ruth Brown of Cookeville.

Willie McCoy

Willie Bea Gibbons McCoy, 91, of Hermitage and formerly of Hilham passed away March 8. Private graveside services were held March 11 at the Maxwell Chapel Cemetery.

She was born in Hilham June 8, 1929. She loved her family, enjoyed gardening, reading and bird watching.

She is preceded in death by: parents, Herman and Sarah Barlow Gibbons; sons, Dickie Howard and Jerry Wayne Carmack; daughter, Sherry Elaine Carmack; brothers, Robert Lee, Jackie Neal and Billy Joe Gibbons.

She is survived by: daughter, Yvonne Carmack Barlow and husband, Earris of Mt. Juliet; daughter-in-law, Roxanne Carmack of Hilham; grandson, William Jesse Carmack of Lexington, Ky.; granddaughter, Allison Nicole Carmack of Cookeville.
