Free Flu Shots
The Overton County Health Department is offering free flu shots every Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. The shots can be administered within the facility or you can request outside services.
The Stephens Center Parent-Child
Spring 2021, Series I: Wednesdays 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sessions are held at the Stephens Center, located at 616 North Church St., Livingston. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within the series. There is no charge for PCC sessions. Relative Caregiver, Housing Assistance
Are you raising a relative child or need housing assistance? For more information on assistance and support, please contact Melissa Allison at the Upper Cumberland Development District toll-free at 1-877-275-8233. A support group meeting will be held for relatives that are caring for relative children during the month of February 2021. Please contact Melissa Allison at 931-476-4127, if you are interested in attending this meeting. For housing assistance, while caring for a minor child, contact Myra Walker at 931-432-4111.
Policy Council Meeting
The monthly meeting of the L.B.J. & C. Head Start Policy Council has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 2 beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation, 1150 Chocolate Drive, Cookeville, Tennessee.
American Legion And Auxiliary
The Livingston American Legion and Auxiliary will hold their next monthly meetings on Tuesday, March 2 at post headquarters located at 121 S. Church St. The Auxiliary meets at 5:30 p.m. and the Legion meeting begins at 6 p.m.
Legion Dances Begin Again
Join the fun with the SlickNickel band at the American Legion on Friday, March 5 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. They are located at 121 S. Church St. in Livingston. Enjoy an evening of country music and dancing. All dances are family friendly and open to the public, membership not necessary. Concessions will be available. Face coverings are recommended.
