Christopher Lee Dial

Christopher Lee Dial, 44, of the Dodson Chapel Community passed away Nov. 30 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. Celebration of Life services were held Dec. 3 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Denton Hummel officiated.

He was born in Overton County on April 21, 1976. He loved spending time with his children, fishing, hanging drywall, and going to church.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Laughton and Linnie Kayzell Ray Dial and grandparents.

He is survived by: wife, Bridgette Dial of the Dodson Chapel Community; son, Garrett Dial of the Dodson Chapel Community; daughter, Chole Dial of the Dodson Chapel Community; sister, Tammy Sue Sells and husband, Jimmy of the Independence Community; brother, Kelvin Garrett and wife, Lucinda of Rickman; step-father, Danny Garrett of the Dodson Chapel Community; mother-in-law, Patsy Copeland and husband, Larry of Chattanooga; father-in-law, Mike Smith and wife, Tammy of Bardstown, Ky.; niece, Brandi Sells and nephew, Brandon Matthews.

Orland Lecile Cyphers

Orland Lecile Cyphers, 64, of Willow Grove passed away Nov. 30 from his residence. Funeral services were held Dec. 4. Interment was held in St. John’s Cemetery with military honors provided by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. Bro. Mark Garrett and Bro. Dino Cates officiated.

He was born in Indiana on Nov. 14, 1956. He loved wildlife, bird watching, deer, and studying his Bible.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Orland Lecile Cyphers, Sr. and Grace A. (Nickels) Cyphers; brother, David Cyphers and sister, Sharyl Harshbarger.

He is survived by: wife, Angela Cyphers of Willow Grove; sons, Jessie Cyphers and wife, Connie of Poland, Ind. and Orland Cyphers III and wife, Michelle of Mooresville, Ind.; daughter, Regina Garrison and husband, Wesley of Green Castle, Ind.; grandchildren, Tyler Slaven, Haley Cyphers, Chase Cyphers, Cecilia Cyphers, Braxton Brummett, Taylor Cummings, Brookelynn Brummett, Kole and Kinleigh Garrison and Gavin Garrison; great-grandchildren, Sophia Slaven, Waylon Slaven, Aleah Cummings and Blakely Cummings and sister, Sheila Bahnson.

 

Dennis David Looper

Dennis David Looper, 77, of the Dry Hollow Community passed away Dec. 1 at the Standing Stone Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held Dec. 5 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Bill Looper Cemetery. Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiated.

He was born in Livingston on March 24, 1943. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Att and Ollie (Looper) Looper.

He is survived by: brother, Bradon Looper and wife, Violet; sisters-in-law, Kay Eldridge and husband, Calvin, Ina Lee Speck, Joyce Speck and Jonell Speck; nephew, Mike Looper; special niece and nephew, Debbie Gunnels and Terry Speck and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers who served were Mark Speck, Terry Speck, Alex Gunnels, Eric Gunnels, Andy Gunnels and Mike Looper.

 

David Hedgecoth

David Lawrence Hedgecoth, 74, of Rickman passed away Nov. 29 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Dec. 2 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Green Acres Cemetery in Crossville. Bro. Mickey Ledbetter officiated.

He was born in the Pleasant Hill Community of Cumberland County. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Livingston. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee in 1973 and his Master’s Degree from Tennessee Tech in 1979. He was an inventor who enjoyed building, technology, working, and computers.

He was preceded in death by: Burr Leonard and Thelma Jane Ringley Hedgecoth and best friend, Steve Sliger.

He is survived by: wife, Mrs. Jackie Lou Spear Hedgecoth of Rickman; daughters, April Hale and husband, Craig of Smithville and Tonya Mitchell and husband, Brian of Rickman; sons, William Hedgecoth and wife, Missy of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Chris Hedgecoth of Crossville, Dustin Hedgecoth and wife, Lindsay of Cookeville, Barry Hedgecoth and wife, Marti of Sparta and Ken Grubbs and husband, Stephen G. of Nashville; grandchildren, Cody Hedgecoth and wife, Santana, Adam Hedgecoth, Allison Caballero and husband, Gabriel, Devin Hedgecoth and wife, Mary, Dylan Hedgecoth, R.J. Hedgecoth, Aaron Patterson, Amelia Patterson, Aiden Patterson, Cooper Odom, Kennedy Odom, Lilly Beason and husband, Zack, Allie Neal and Cloe Parrott and husband, Westin; great-grandchildren, Mia Faye Hedgecoth, John Dawson Hedgecoth, Axel Beason, Armor Beason and Chevelle Beason and sister, Ruby Hernandez and husband, Bill of Crossville.
