Willadean Friedrich

Willadean Friedrich, 87, of Rickman passed away Aug. 29 from her residence. Funeral services were held Sept. 2 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Nolen Cantrell officiated.

She was born in Overton County on Oct. 4 1932. She enjoyed flowers, working in her garden, and playing with her cats. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed drawing and painting.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Joe Davis Brown and Nancy Ellen Copeland Brown; son, Harry Friedrich, Jr; brothers, Orville Brown, Homer Brown, Ray Brown and Carver Brown; sisters, Lois Smith, Beulah Jones, Dimple Beasley, Cordie Norrod and Lucille Hubbard.

She is survived by husband, Harry Friedrich of Rickman; daughter, Deborah Johnson of Nashville; sons, Kevin Friedrich and wife, Kim of Nunley and Allen Friedrich and wife, Nancy of Ocala, Fla.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

Bro. Dewey Glen Masters

Bro. Dewey Glen Masters, 84, of the Poplar Springs Community passed away Sept. 1 from his residence. Funeral services were held Sept. 5 with interment following in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. Bro. Jeremy Byrd officiated.

He was born in Hilham on Aug. 19, 1936. He was a Minister for the Lord for many years and was a member of the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church and also was a school bus driver for Overton County.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Edward and Savannah (Johnson) Masters; wife, Lena Pearl Masters; sister, Connie Beechboard and brother, Harold Gene Masters.

He is survived by: daughters, Robbie Byrd and husband, Johnny and Lisa Poskevich and husband, Dan; son, Chris Masters and wife, Tara; sister, Virginia Conner; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers who served were Tim West, David West, Greg Thomas, Danny Bilbrey, Andy Beechboard and Rick Conner.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Barbara Bobbie Brown

Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Brown, 84, of Allons passed away Aug. 28 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Sept. 2 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Ruth Chapel Cemetery. Bro. John Keith and Bro. Steve Daily officiated.

She was born in Allons on May 26, 1936.

She was a member of the Allons Baptist Church. She loved her family and church family very much and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Ella (Davis) Hoover.

She is survived by: son, Ricky Brown and wife, Suzy; granddaughters, Christy Brown, Abigail Selby and husband, Joey, Valerie Schlaback and husband, Richard, Daisy Brenner and husband, Nathan, Heidi Brenner and husband, Jared, Margaret Kolet and husband, Andrew and Anna Brown; grandsons, Tommy Brown and wife, Rebekah, David Brown and wife, Elisa, Stephen Brown and wife, Rachel, Ben Brown and wife, Sarah, Edward Brown, Daniel Brown and Phillip Brown and 44 great-grandchildren.

Ralph

Gray

Ralph Gray, 77, of Byrdstown passed away Sept. 1 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Graveside services were held Sept. 5 at the Williams Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Rick Cross officiated.

He was born in Anderson, Ind. on Aug. 14, 1943. He loved his family and friends very much and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Ralph Homer and Dorothy (Boyer) Gray and wife, Barbara Sue South Gray.

He is survived by: son, Daniel Gray and wife, Pamela of Crossville; daughters, Pamela Cosby of Lawton, Okla. and Rhonda Gray of Byrdstown and several grandchildren.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
