Lee Files Defamation Suit Against Several

Former Livingston Academy teacher Mark Lee, who has been the subject of harassment claims, has filed suit in Overton County Circuit Court against the alleged victims parents, along with others.

The suit was filed last Monday on the counts of defamation, false light invasion of privacy and parental liability.

As previously reported in the Livingston Enterprise, a Livingston Academy student came forward with sexual harassment allegations against Lee in early March. After the allegations, the Overton County school system placed Lee on a 90-day unpaid suspension while an investigation was conducted—resulting in his removal as a teacher from Livingston Academy.

Lee names in the complaint Tonya Mitchell, Erica Pauline Troupe Harris, Tosha Daniell Dishman and Michael Kinnard, individually, and Ronnie Rudd and Carol Ann Bilbrey Rudd, both individually and in their capacity as the parents of Lee’s accuser.
