Committee Seeks Stadium Input

Overton County School Board members met in a specially called Building Committee meeting last Tuesday and further discussed the options for the new Livingston Academy football stadium.

As previously reported in the Livingston Enterprise, the board was presented with three options during the June meeting. The options presented included:

A football field and soccer field combined at what is known as the Mason property, which would be an estimated cost of $6.7 million, excluding the land costs. For this option, approximately 6.5 acres would need to be purchased.

The second option includes a track along with sections for possible field events, which would be an estimated cost of $8.7 million, also excluding land costs. For this option, approximately 9.5 acres would need to be purchased.
