Drive Thru COVID-19 Testing Locations
These sites are open Monday-Friday at the times listed and are open to anyone requesting to be tested. These assessments are provided to you at no charge: Overton County Health Department from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs has allocated additional funds to Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) to help Veteran families all across the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding allows SSVF programs to reach additional low-income Veteran families in order to help Veterans experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. SSVF may be able to provide rental arrears, rent, utility deposits/assistance, and other assistance to eligible low-income Veteran families. If you know a Veteran or Veteran family in need of any assistance, have them contact Mission Accomplished Stable Housing (MASH) at 931-239-7406 or [email protected] to see if they qualify for assistance.
On July 11 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. the Upper Cumberland Habitat ReStore will hold a donation drive in Livingston at 914 N Church Street. The event will be held the first Saturday of every month through the rest of 2020. Items that will be accepted are furniture, home decor, kitchenware, appliances, cabinets, sinks, doors and lighting.
The Overton County Cruze-In will be held Saturday, July 11 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Livingston Downtown Square.
Friday, July 10: Marble Games at 2 p.m. – Meet S.I.R. Rachel at the Rec Hall to learn how to play various marble games; History Hike at 4 p.m. – Take a step back in time and learn about the history of Standing Stone State Park with a 1.5-mile hike through the park (beginning at the Tea Room); Nature Scavenger Hunt at 6 p.m. – Meet at the swinging bridge below the dam for a nature-themed scavenger hunt (all material needed will be provided).
The annual Beaty reunion will be held at Cumberland Mountain State park July 12 at Shelter 1. Lunch will be served at noon. Bring your covered dish and enjoy the day.
