Property In Litigation Brought Before Board Of Equalization

As previously reported in the Livingston Enterprise, Freeman Lee Crowder III filed suit Feb. 19 against Overton County and the City of Livingston in the Circuit Court of Overton County asking for compensation from damages resulting from the February 2019 flooding event.

Crowder owns property on Bradford-Hicks Drive, housing a church daycare and what is now a salon.

Prior to the flooding, the property was assessed at $296,700 and decreased significantly to the amount of $100,000 after the flood event. In the latest state reassessment, the value increased to the amount of $341,00.

    So if you put a building up beside a pond that has flooded several times before other people have to pay because they didnt use common sense ?
