High schools around Tennessee were getting creative to celebrate seniors as traditional graduation ceremony plans were in limbo amid a statewide “stay-at-home order” and social distancing rules to slow the spread of COVID-19.
As coronavirus cases began to grow in Tennessee, Director of Schools Dr. Mark Winningham closed school campuses. His current school closure order is in effect until the end of the academic year.
With the uncertainty of the actuality of hosting an in-person graduation ceremony for Livingston Academy, school officials creatively organized a car parade to honor the Class of 2020.
