The Stephens Center Parent-Child
Spring 2020, Series II: Wednesdays 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sessions are held at the Stephens Center, located at 616 North Church St., Livingston. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within the series. There is no charge for PCC sessions. UCHRA Offices Closed
All UCHRA offices will be closed to the public until April 3; at which time they will reassess the situation. Their staff will continue to assist clients primarily via phone and email. Individuals seeking assistance through the Low-Inome Home Energy Asssistance Program (LIHEAP) should contact their local office via phone. Transit services will continue to operate in order to provide individuals with transportation to and from medical appointments, the grocery store, and other needs. The Upper Cumberland Development District office will be closed to the public until April 3; at which time they will reassess the situation. Their staff will continue to assist clients primarily via phone and email. Essential services such as nutrition will continue. Individuals seeking assistance through programs and services offered by UCDD are encouraged to contact the office by calling (931) 432-4111.
Overton County School Nutrition Plan
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for anyone under 18 in Overton County. This can be picked up at school from 8 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. Outlying areas where meals can be picked up include: Independence Community Center, Monroe Community Center; Hardys Chapel Community Center, Alpine Fire Department, Crawford Post Office, Tay’s Grocery, Dry Hollow Fire Department, Faith Outreach Worship Center, Timothy Fire Department and Hwy. 111 Market.
Tumble Book Library
The Tennessee State Library and Archives announced that they now have access to free children’s books and videos, thanks to the generosity of TumbleBooks. TumbleBook Library is a collection of animated talking picture books, read-along books, ebooks, quizzes, lesson plans and educational games that can be used from the comfort and safety of your own home.
