Mayor Proclaims March 6 As Arbor Day.

Friday morning, six tree advocates helped plant a flowering ornamental tree in front of the Joe L. Evins Community Center, commemorating an Arbor Day proclamation for the City of Livingston.

“Trees, wherever they are planted, are a source of joy and spiritual renewal,” proclaimed Mayor Curtis Hayes. “I urge all citizens to plant trees to gladden the hearts and promote the well-being of present and future generations.”
