Alderman Continue Moving Forward On Flooding Mitigation

The Town of Livingston Board of Mayor and Aldermen met in regular session last night and discussed hazard mitigation in lieu of flooding events that happened in February 2019.

State Hazard Mitigation Manager Doug Worden with Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) was present at the meeting and explained the process the city would have to go through in order to receive funding after declaring a state of emergency last year.

As previously reported in the Livingston Enterprise, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen were advised to purchase the properties of home and business owners that were affected by the flooding event in 2019.
