The Stephens Center Parent-Child Connection
Spring 2020, Series I: Wednesdays 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sessions are held at the Stephens Center, located at 616 North Church St., Livingston. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within the series. There is no charge for PCC sessions and everyone. Raffle For Quilt Sample
Family and Community education Clubs are selling tickets on a beautiful purple sampler quilt, which will be drawn in December. The quilt is on display Monday through Friday at the Joe L. Evins Community Center. Purchase your tickets from a FCE member or call UT Extension 931-823-2735.
Upper Cumberland Hemp Expo
This is an event hosted by multiple county UT Extensions on Friday, Feb. 28 at the Hyder-Burks Ag Pavilion in Cookeville. The Upper Cumberland Hemp Expo will include an extensive trade show as well as educational breakout sessions covering production, budgeting, diseases & pests, marketing, policy and laws, crop insurance, plus other pertinent topics related to the growing and processing of hemp beginning at 9 a.m.
Benefit For Titus
In 2015 Titus was prenatally diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome; he is livingswith half of his heart. There will be a benefit on Feb. 29 at the Overton County Fairgrounds beginning at 4 p.m. with an auction starting at 5 p.m. Raffle tickets for various items will also be sold. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses.
Cub Scout Pack 133 Pinewood Derby

Pickett County Historical And Genealogical Society will meet Feb. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Library to hear Dr James E Gore talk on his book The Green Soldier. He will have books available. Several of you have already read the book, so bring your comments and questions. This event is open to the public.
The monthly meeting will be on March 3 at 5:30 p.m. No speaker or program has been scheduled. A member will be available to scan photos from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. for the new book “Glimpse of Past Volume 2.” Bring photos by to have them scanned and take them back home with you. The event is open to the public. Several upcoming events for 2020 in near future of the society so keep watching news media and listening to radio as well also.
