The Stephens Center Parent-Child
Spring 2020, Series I: Wednesdays 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sessions are held at the Stephens Center, located at 616 North Church St., Livingston. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within the series. There is no charge for PCC sessions and everyone. The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) will hold a commodities distribution for Overton County (Livingston) on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Livingston Church of Christ. Sign up will be available at the distribution site.
Overton County Solid Waste Convenience Centers
All Overton County Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day. Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Garbage routes in the Town of Livingston will temporarily change in order for the City to observe Presidents’ Day. Trash will not be picked up on Monday, Feb. 17. Monday’s trash route will be picked up on Tuesday, Feb. 18, along with Tuesday’s usual route
Upper Cumberland Small Ruminant
The U.T. Extension program will be held in Overton County this year Feb. 21-22 at the Gene Medley Rotary Building at the Overton County Fairgrounds. This class is a Master Small Ruminant Producer program.
The L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation Head Start Centers and the Central Office will be closed Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
From now through April 15, Tennessee residents who need help getting their income taxes done can turn to the AARP Foundation’s free Tax-Aide program at more than 60 community sites statewide. Walk-ins are welcome. UCARTS offers transportation or you may sign a power-of-attorney for another person to bring your return to us. Locations will be set up at the Livingston Senior Center on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Prescribed Burning And Standby
The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division is offering prescribed burning and standby services for purposes such as: site preparation associated with tree planting; control undesirable vegetaion; pine timber stand improvement; wildlife and habitat restoration; fire department forests management; fuel reduction and warm and/or cool season grass management.
