Geraldine Daniels Bowers
Geraldine Daniels Bowers, 79, of Monroe passed away Jan. 24 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Jan. 28 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Bro. Roger Walker officiated.
She was born March 26, 1940 in Overton County. She was a member of the Free Communion Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, canning, taking walks and hiking. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and sewing.
She was preceded in death by parents, Harlan and Claudine Holman Daniels; first husband and father of her children, John Stover; second husband, Cecil “Radio” Bowers; brothers, John Dudley, Joe, Billy and Mitchell Daniels and sisters, Margaret Mildred Daniels and Joyce Stark.
She is survived by daughters, Jennifer Stilts and husband, Andrew of Dunlap and Jackie Campos and fiancé, Gary Price Ward of Livingston; sisters, Janice Goodpasture of Harriman and Sadie Neal of Livingston; brother, Chatt Daniels of Spencer; grandchildren, Seth Stilts and fiancé, Morgan Pascarelli and Devan Stilts.
Pallbearers who served were Seth Stilts, Devan Stilts, Jacob Johnson, Adam Daniels, Tommy Daniels and Tracy Sells.
Orvie Ruth Barnes
Orvie Ruth Little Barnes, 91, of Allons passed away Jan. 30 from her residence. Funeral services were held Feb. 2 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Miller Cemetery. Rev. Damon Corley officiated.
She was born on July 3, 1928 in Allons. She was a 1947 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the Fredonia Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning and working outside on her family’s farm. She loved growing hybrid irises and won many competitions with them.
She was preceded in death by parents, Verdie G. and Nettie Langford Little; husband, J. Bruce Barnes; triplet grandsons, Jeremy Bruce Wells, Chad Henry Wells and Scott Eugene Wells and granddaughter, Sara Ann Wells.
She is survived by daughters, Brenda Copeland and husband, Jerry of Lebanon and Carol Ann Wells and husband, Gary of Crossville; granddaughter, Leslee Stewart and husband, Justin of Nicholasville, Ky.; great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn Stewart of Nicholasville, Ky.; sister, Sadie Maynord of Livingston and sister-in-law, Alva Dean McDonald of Livingston.
Pallbearers who served were Danny Maynord, Dwain Maynord, David Peterman, Nicky Franklin, Justin Stewart, Jerry Copeland and Willard Gore.
Thomas T. Brymer
Thomas T. Brymer, 74, of Monroe passed away Jan. 29 from the Overton County Health and Rehab. There are no services scheduled at this time.
He was born in Sparta on Feb. 17, 1945. He was an appliance repairman for many years. He enjoyed tending to his cattle and riding his side-by-side on the farm.
He was preceded in death by parents, Will and Catherine Youngblood Brymer and brothers, Erbie and Lucky Brymer.
He is survived by wife, Edna Mae Worley Hair of Monroe and brother, Tilbert Brymer of Sparta.

Lorraine Reed Vaughn
Lorraine Reed Vaughn, 87, of Monroe passed away Jan. 31 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Feb. 4 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Booher Cemetery. Bro. Tim Beaty officiated.
She was born in Kentucky on Aug. 10, 1932. She enjoyed singing, playing cards with her children and canning her garden. She loved to fish with friends and family, help her husband with outside chores and watch the hummingbirds.
She was preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Allie Spencer Reed; granddaughter, Sarah Vaughn; sisters, Zella Klanac and Patty Strange and brothers, Tracy Reed and Howard Reed.
She is survived by husband, Keven Vaughn of Monroe; daughters, Donna Holzman and husband, Bill of Mantwa, Ohio and Brenda Blake and husband, Kenny of Twinsberg, Ohio; son, Keven Vaughn, Jr. and wife, Sheila of Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren, Angel Weizer and husband, Ron, Justin Holzman, Tracy Holzman, Jerod Holzman and wife, Amanda, Stacy Stephens and husband, Darrell, Keven Lee Vaughn, Jamie Kelling and husband, Nate and Ellie Whitelaw and husband, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Ethan Weizer, Matthew Weizer, Keira Holzman, Laxi Holzman and Mikilah Holzman.
Ruby Ledbetter, 93, of Livingston passed away Jan. 29 from the Overton County Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held Jan. 31 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Eugene McCowan officiated.
She was born Nov. 14, 1926 in the Wilder Community. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Livingston. She loved reading her bible, books, doing crossword puzzles and going to church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Melvina Sims Page; husband, Joe Wheeler Ledbetter; sons, Gary Ledbetter and Steve Ledbetter; brothers, Walter Page and Otis D. Page and sisters, Bonnie Maxwell and Ethel Bullard.
She is survived by sons, Larry Ledbetter and wife, Dianne of Concord, N.C. and Allen Ledbetter and wife, Kathy of Haw River, N.C.; grandson, Eric Ledbetter; granddaughter, Kimberly Hamilton; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Charlotte Masters and husband, James of Livingston.
