Overton County Board Of Education

The Overton County Board of Education will meet in regular session Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the Central Office as directed by the Chairman Howard Miller. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and the Work Session immediately following.

Fit Frenzy

Enjoy a free sampling of group fitness classes all in one morning Jan. 18 at Cane Creek Recreation Center. Different classes will be offered every half hour from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., including Club Cardio, a variety of Yoga classes and a new Kick’N’Core class. Participate or just watch. Winter Fishing

If you like trout, try your luck at Cane Creek Park. The lake is full of rainbow trout thanks to Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency’s winter trout stocking program. Around 2,000 fish were released in December and 3,000 more are coming Jan. 22.

Exchange Club To Meet

The Exchange Club meets twice a month at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14 and Jan. 28 at Stephens Center, 616B N. Church St. Livingston. For more information, call 931-823-6432.

Storm Spotter

Training

A Storm Spotter Training class will be held Jan. 21 at the Overton County Rescue Squad Building. The National Weather Service will be teaching the training class at 6 p.m.

Anti-Drug Coalition

The Overton County Anti-Drug Coalition will have a monthly meeting on Jan .9 at 12 p.m. It will be held in the conference room at the Joe L Evans Community Center at 312 West Broad Street, Livingston. Lunch will be served, RSVP if you plan to attend.
