Robert Scott

McDonald

Robert Scott McDonald, 47, of Livingston passed away Oct. 24 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Oct. 27 at the First Baptist Church of Livingston. Interment followed in the McDonald Family Cemetery in Alpine. Rev. Eric Dillon officiated.

He was born on May 14, 1972 in Cookeville. He was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed woodworking and machinery.

He was preceded in death by mother, Brenda Ledbetter McDonald and grandparents, Luther and Azell McDonald and Glenmore Ledbetter.

He is survived by father, Robert R. McDonald of Livingston; son, Robert Lee McDonald of Livingston; brothers, Greg McDonald and wife, Jen of Cookeville and Jeremy McDonald and wife, Aspen of Cookeville; grandmother, Velma Walker Ledbetter of Livingston; nieces, Addison and Lillian McDonald of Cookeville; nephews, Myles and Mack Walker McDonald of Cookeville and a very large extended family on both the McDonald and Ledbetter sides.

Pallbearers who served are Derek McDonald, John McDonald, Jason Young, Ryan Ledbetter, Chris Ledbetter and Michael Melton.

Honorary pallbearers were Scott’s first cousins.

Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Frances Sells

Frances Jolley Sells, 77, of Monroe passed away on Oct. 26 from her residence. Funeral services will be held Oct. 30 at the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hatcher Hall Cemetery. Rev. Hillier Duke will officiate.

She was born in Pickett County. She was a 1960 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of Hatcher Hall Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by parents, Robert Odell and Virgie Griffin Jolley; son, Mark Sells; sister, Joy Bilbrey; brothers, Todd Jolley and Robert “Bob” Jolley.

She is survived by husband, Raymond Sells of Monroe; daughters, Lisa Sells Reagan and husband, Rick of Knoxville and Cindi Sells Scalici and husband, Ralph of Cookeville; son, Jeremiah Sells and wife, Teresa of Cookeville; grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew and Brandon Reagan, Adam and Joshua Scalici, Alannah, Mark and Michael Sells; great-grandchildren, Lena, Eli, Annika and Henrik Reagan; brothers, Troy Jolley and Gib Jolley both of Monroe and sister, Brenda Taylor and husband, Wayne of Monroe.

Pallbearers to serve are Jonathan Reagan, Brandon Reagan, Adam Scalici, Joshua Scalici, Joe Jolley, Scott Gunnels, Scott Copeland and Britt Keisling.

Honorary pallbearers to serve are Mark Sells and Matthew Reagan.

Jeanette Hall

Jeanette Hall, 89, of Allons passed away on Oct. 5 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services were held Oct. 9 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Nolen Cantrell officiated.

She was born in Allons on Aug. 31, 1930. She was a homemaker and loved her family.

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Lizzie (Smith) Sidwell; husband, Doyle Hall; son, Doyle Glen Hall; sister, Arva Sidwell; brothers, Claude Sidwell, Frank Sidwell, Ed Sidwell, Coyse Sidwell and J.C. Sidwell.

She is survived by son, Jerry Hall and wife, Gina; grandsons, Matthew Hall and fiancé, Kristy Lawson and Dalton Hall and wife, Katie; great-granddaughters, Oakley Hall, Kimberly Peek, Amelia Lawson and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers who served were Gary Sidwell, Matthew Hall, Dalton Hall, John Collins, Tim McHood and Michael Pratt.

Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Sidwell and Jason Collins.

Bernice E. Howard

Bernice E. (Gore) Howard, 83, of Martinsville, Ind. formerly of Overton County passed away on Oct. 15. Funeral services were held on Oct.19 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Green Hill Cemetery in Alpine.

Bro. David Beaty officiated.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1935 in Rickman.

She was preceded in death by parents, Maxine (Warren) and Haskell Gore and husband, Grady Howard.

She is survived by sons, Randal (Nicki) Howard and Grady (Angie) Howard, Jr.; daughters, Karen Howard and Kathy (Rick) Hicks; sisters, Betty Blair, Bobbie Secrest, Judy Crabtree and Brenda Allen; brothers, Aryl Gore, Garry Gore and Mark Gore; grandchildren, Samantha (Dan) Kunz, Cody (Kati) Deckard, Ellery (Chad) Beard, Danielle Deckard and Bry (Kariann) Howard; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Deckard, Colton Deckard and Hayes Howard and a host of family and friends.

Carlos Woodrow Daniels

Carlos “Tony” Woodrow Daniels, 75, of Cookeville passed away on Oct. 13 from his residence. Funeral services were held on Oct. 16 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Cookeville. Bro. Dwight Henry officiated.

He was born on Aug. 10, 1944 in Maysville, Ky. He was a truck driver for many years.

He was preceded in death by son, David Daniels; sister, Vickie Jane Daniels and brother, Tommy Chandler.

Ruby Lee Smith Maynord

Ruby Lee Smith Maynord, 83, of Livingston passed away on Oct. 16 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Oct. 20 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Maynord Family Cemetery. Bro. Randy Maynord officiated.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1936. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a entrepreneur of the community.

She was preceded in death by parents, James Walter and Mary (Sells) Smith; husband, Robert Maynord; sons, Darrell Maynord and Mike Maynord; granddaughter, Amy Maynord; siblings, Claira Ann Hunter, Maxine Harlow, Talma Gene Smith and Delon Smith.

She is survived by daughter, Lynn Jolley and husband, Bert; sons, Eric Maynord, Rick Maynord and wife, Sherry and Ronnie Maynord and wife, Gail; brothers, Louis Smith, Franklin “Peck” Smith, and Bruce Smith; grandchildren, Joey Huddleston, Danielle Coffman, Andrea Delgrosso, Ashley Crain, Rhonda Riley, Sarah White, Mandy Looper, Casey York, Mary-Heather Ashburn, Mitchell Maynord, Robbie Maynord, Gracie Maynord, Chloe Maynord and Daniele Jolley and 15 great-grandchildren.
