Anna Elena Maxwell

Anna Elena Maxwell, 92, of Hilham, passed away on June 14 at her home. Funeral services were held on June 16 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. John Mabry officiated. Interment followed in the Hilham Cemetery.

She was born in Willow Grove Community on Dec. 25, 1926. She loved flowers of all kinds and took joy in them around her house. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling and being with her family. She was a member of the Hilham Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Grady Arvis Maxwell; sister, Ada Dean Stone; brother, Bill Wilborn.

She is survived by sons, Charlie Maxwell of Hilham and Mark Maxwell and wife, Lisa of Cookeville; grandchildren, Rusty Maxwell and wife, Naomi of Tipp City, Ohio, Molly Maxwell of Cookeville, Lauren Tallent and husband, Dakota of Raeford, N.C.; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Maxwell and Ethan Maxwell.

Pallbearers who served were Rusty Maxwell, Joey Maxwell, Tommy Joe Maxwell, Nick Maxwell and Billy Wilborn.

Brandon Duane Lawson

Brandon Duane Lawson, 27, of Rickman, passed away on June 10 at his residence. Funeral services were held on June 15 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home Bro. Josh Coffman officiated. Interment followed in the Okolona Cemetery.

He was born in Putnam County on July 2, 1991. He loved spending time with his family and friends and playing video games on the computer.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, J.C. and Joyce Hammock Coffman.

He is survived mother, Tammy Ford of Rickman; father, Billy Duane Lawson of Rickman; grandparents, Billy and Lois Lawson; sister, Morgan Ford of Livingston; niece, Lily Spurlock of Livingston; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and uncle, Chris Lawson.

Pallbearers who served were Dillon Matthews, Jacob Allred, Jonathan Dildine, Marcus Wagner, Logan Ramsey, Fred Bristol and Tyler Maxwell.

Eva Jean Norris

Eva Jean Norris, 84, of Livingston, passed away on June 10 at the Overton County Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services were held on June 13 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home Bro. Roger Walker officiated. Interment followed in the Shiloh Cemetery.

She was born in Overton County on Jan. 6, 1935. She loved to be around her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She also loved to listen to gospel and county music.

She was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Velma Staggs Holman; husband, John Gilbert Norris; sons, Roger Norris and Patrick “Pat” Norris; brother, Bobby Joe Holman; sisters, Juanita Poston, Ruth Burchett, Nell Hammock and Louise Smith.

She is survived by son, Randall Norris and wife, Bernice of Rickman; daughter, Yvette Walker and husband, Billy of Livingston; grandchildren, Sherry Norris, Stacey Norris, Dustin Walker and wife, Katie, Devin Walker and wife, Hannah, John Norris and Tara Clark; great grandchildren, Treston and Levi Walker, Haleigh, Christian and Kendall Newberry, Alexis and Leah Smith, Brooklynn and Brailee Norris and Jamison Clark; sister, Linda Bybee and husband, Doak of Allons.

Pallbearers who served were Billy Walker, Randall Norris, Dustin Walker, John Norris and Kendall Newberry.

Glen E. Boles

Glen E. Boles, 80, of Allons, passed away on June 9 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on June 14 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Jonathan Ledbetter officiated. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Jackson County on Jan. 10, 1939. He loved his family, enjoyed tending to his garden, loved to work with his cattle and loved his job at the Overton County Courthouse Annex.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Allie Boles; infant sister, Jewel Boles.

He is survived by wife, Judy Neal Boles of Allons; son, Michael Boles of Allons; sister, Lois Neely of Cookeville; brother, Gene Boles of Allons; niece, Julie Boles of Allons; and nephew, Ricky Neely and wife, Wendy of Cookeville.

Jean Garrett Rose

Jean Garrett Rose, 78, of Barboursville, W.Va. and formerly Overton County, passed away on June 9 at the Inn at Wyngate. Graveyard services were held on June 13 at the Netherland Cemetery. Speck Funeral Home provided her arrangements.

She was born in Overton County on Feb. 17, 1941.

She was preceded in death by parents, Jim Harris and Myrtle Williams Garrett.

She is survived by husband, Jim Rose of Barboursville, W.Va.; daughter, Vera A. Rose and husband, Matthew Rohrbach of Huntington, W.Va.; granddaughter, Rachel J. Rohrbach of Huntington, W.Va.

Mark Stephen Ogletree

Mark Stephen Ogletree, 61, of Livingston passed away June 7 at Signature Healthcare in Algood. Memorial services will be held June 22 at the Livingston Academy Mini-Theatre with family and friends sharing reflections and sentiments.

He was born Nov. 21, 1957 in Cookeville. He was a property manager and a bus driver. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by parents, Hugh Ogletree and Betty Price Hunter; and brother, David Ogletree, Sr.

Surviving relatives include: son, Mark Ogletree, II and wife, Ashley of Livingston; grandchildren, Mark Ogletree, III, Maddox Ogletree and Marley Ogletree; brothers, Robert Ogletree and Hugh L. Ogletree and wife, Linda all of Livingston; sisters, Diane Johnson of Kingsport and Jennifer Maulding of Livingston; nephews, Craig Ogletree, David Ogletree, Jr., Chris Keen, David Johnson and James Maulding; nieces, Tamera Mansell, Tonya Ogletree, Nichelle Shanks, Amy Ward, Betty Harmon, Jessica Stump-Johnson and Samantha Maulding; several great nieces and great nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Thomas Key

Thomas Key, 77, of Livingston passed away June 10 at his home. He was born in Overton County on June 28,1941. He spent most of his career as a maintenance worker and was a volunteer deputy at the Overton County Sheriff’s Department.

He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Myma Wilson Key; brothers, Earl Key and Jim Key.

He is survived by wife, Virginia Matthews Key of Livingston; son Kelly Key and wife Missy Tinch Key of Livingston; daughter Gina Key Karber and partner Ken Le Jeune of Hope, Arkansas; brothers, Noel Key of Livingston, Larry and wife Sandy Key of Livingston, Doyle and wife Patricia Key of Livingston and sister Lois Lawson and husband Billy Lawson of Rickman. He has three grandsons; Dakota Key of Arlington, VA; Drew Key and wife Rebecca Garrett Key of Livingston and Daniel Key of Livingston.
