No Tax Increase For City Residents

The Livingston Mayor and Board of Aldermen met last night in a called meeting and approved next fiscal year’s budget on first reading – a budget with no property tax increase.

Livingston Mayor Curtis Hayes went over what he called the highlights of the budget and answered questions for the aldermen. Some of those highlights include a new pay scale being put into effect for city employees that was approved by the aldermen some months back; paving to take place in certain areas; a new waterline to serve the Hilham area; and some needs and wants from varying departments.
