During the work session of the Overton County School Board meeting last night prior to the regular meeting, technology director Brent Thrasher discussed the needs and benefits of redesigning the district and school websites with either Edlio or Aptegy.
Currently the school district main site is custom-built, and Thrasher has mainly designed and coded and stored on a server in the school district’s office. According to Thrasher, some of the problems with this is updates must be submitted to him. The district website is mostly ADA compliant while school sites are not, and most of them do not work well on mobile devices, but the benefits are there will be no cost to the district and it is very flexible when it comes to the design.
