Overton County Budget Committee members received good news when they met Wednesday night, as bids for the new county services building came in below budget.
After bids were opened, commissioner Frank Martin motioned to proceed with W&O Construction Co., Inc., as the successful builder for the almost $4.5 million project. W&O is also a local company, based out of Livingston, and had the low bid of $4,486,000 and an Alternate #1 bid (window roller shades installation) of $11,400 additional to build the Millard Oakley County Services building. Commissioner Billie G. Phillips seconded it and all members voted for.
