City Takes Next Step For Package Liquor

The first Certificate of Compliance request to the City of Livingston for the retail sale of packaged liquor in city limits was granted in a called Board of Mayor and Alderman meeting on Wednesday night, but one man stood before the council in opposition.

Bro. John Copeland of Grace Baptist Church, who opposed Ordinance 2019-2-3, which would permit the serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages in Livingston’s Central Park, during a public hearing held earlier this month, said, “There is nothing… Again, there is nothing good that comes from the sale of alcohol.”
