City To See LED Lighting Change

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen shed some light on what kind of wattage they would like to see throughout the city in a called meeting Tuesday night, after the board sampled a selection of LED lighting fixtures with the Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (UCEMC).

The LED fixtures range in wattage – predominately from 115 to 160 – with UCEMC Livingston District Manager Ben Winningham selecting the installation areas on Hwy. 111 near Huddle House, Hillcrest Drive and Woodland Street for the LED pilot project.
