“Welcome to Medicare” Class To Be Held
Are you turning 65 soon and confused about Medicare benefits and choices? The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is conducting a free “Welcome to Medicare” class at the Millard Oakley Library in Livingston on Feb. 26 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Call SHIP at (931) 432-4150 to reserve a seat.
Parent-Child Connection Classes To Be Held
A Stephens Center’s Parent-Child Connection (PCC) “Self Esteem” session is to be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the Stephens Center located at 616 North Church Street in Livingston from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within this series. There is no charge for PCC sessions.
Blood Drive To Be Held
The American Red Cross will be having a blood drive at Hilham Elementary on March 4 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Call the school at 823-6816 for an appointment or just walk in on the 4th.
Second Hilham Elementary School Reunion In The Works
The Hilham Elementary School Alumni Association will host their second reunion on Saturday, April 6 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the school located at 2305 Hilham Highway in Livingston. There will be food, fun and live music provided by Ethan Phillips and his band. Attendees are encouraged to bring finger foods and drinks to share with the group.
Commodities To Be Distributed
The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) will hold a commodities distribution for Overton County in Livingston on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Livingston Church of Christ located at 215 E. Main Street in Livingston. Everyone must present a valid UCHRA commodity card in order to receive commodities. Sign up will be available at the distribution site.
Night Of Music To Be Held
The Music Department of Livingston Academy is presenting a night of music by the LA Band and LA Choir. The concert is at 6:30 p.m. in the LA gym on Friday evening, March 1 and is free. Donations are welcome.
