Relative Caregiver Support Group To Be Held
A support group meeting will be held for relatives that are caring for relative children for Overton/Pickett County at the Millard Oakley Public Library in Livingston on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Please contact Melissa Allison at 931-476-4127, if you are interested in attending this meeting. Convenience Centers To Close
All Overton County Convenience Centers will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18 in observance of President’s Day.
Parent-Child Connection Classes To Be Held
A Stephens Center’s Parent-Child Connection (PCC) “Supporting Your Partner” session is to be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the Stephens Center located at 616 North Church Street in Livingston from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Certificates will be awarded to parents attending eight sessions within this series. There is no charge for PCC sessions.
UT Extension Strawberry Sale To Be Held
Overton Extension is now taking orders for strawberry plants. Varieties this year are Earlieglow (small) and Allstar (large). Prices are 25 plants $15.00, 50 plants $20.00, and 100 plants $30.00. American Legion Dance To Be Held
The American Legion welcomes the Take 5 Band for an evening of and music on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the American Legion Post in Livingston located at 121 S. Church Street. All dances are family friendly and open to the public, membership not necessary. Concessions are available.
SCV To Meet
SCV Myers-Zollicoffer Camp 1990 meets Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m., VFW Post 5062, 103 Henson Street in Livingston. Matilda Speck and Theresa Loftis with the United Daughters of the Confederacy will speak on the many roles women played in the Civil War. Doors open 6:00 pm. Questions (931) 783-3767.
Garbage Routes To Change
Garbage routes in the Town of Livingston will temporarily change in order for the City to observe President’s Day. Trash will not be picked up Monday, Feb. 18. Monday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
