Water Pipeline Now Repaired

Traffic was redirected for several hours around what some witnesses are calling a “red river” flowing down Bilbrey Street on Monday.

When a 10-inch water pipeline broke around mid-day near Livingston Middle School, an estimated 38,000 gallons of water lost from the incident flowed onto the street. The water became mixed with red clay from the ground in the course of the outbreak and gave the water a reddish hue.
