Albert J. “Buddy” Kendziora, Jr.
Air Force Veteran
Albert J. “Buddy” Kendziora, Jr., 82 of White Plains, passed away on Dec. 22 at the Signature Healthcare in Algood. Celebration of Life services were held on Dec. 29 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Albert Willis officiated. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
He was born in Chicago, Ill. on Oct. 10, 1936. Buddy was the grounds keeper for the White Plains Golf Course. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a local 150 Midwest Operating Engineers, Countryside, Ill. He enjoyed conversation and loved people. Cooking was his passion. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and ballroom dancing with his loving wife, Janie.
He is preceded in death by parents, Albert J. Sr. and Patricia M. Hettinger Kendziora.
He is survived by wife, Janie Louise Ledbetter Kendziora of the White Plains Community; son, Timothy Kendziora of Wisconsin; step-sons, Greg Simos and wife, Cathy of Tinley Park, Ill., and Mark Simos and wife, Laura of Tucson, Ariz.; step-daughter, Kathy Simos Lillie and husband, Tom of Oak Forest, Ill.; and was an uncle and grandfather to many.
Shawn M. Dryden, 43 of Hiham, passed away on Dec. 10 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 7, 1975. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne. He loved to cook, tend to his fruit and veggie garden and enjoyed football. He mostly enjoyed the solitude of the country and hanging on the porch with his dog, Wilson.
He is survived by son, Nicholas Dryden of Cincinnati, Ohio; father, Michael Dryden of Naples, Fla.; mother, Linda Berg of Hilham; sister, Amy Dryden of Hilham; brother, Wayne Berg, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; and grandson, Ryder Dryden of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Sherron D. Reynolds
Sherron D. Reynolds, 70 of Jamestown, passed away on Dec. 18 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 21 at the Etter Baptist Church in Byrdstown. Interment followed in the Etter Cemetery in Pickett County. Bro. Jeffy Durham and Bro. Anthony Johnson officiated. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
He was born in Byrdstown on April 12, 1948. He was a loving father, grandfather and a friend to all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Willard Reynolds and Gladys Brown Ledbetter; brother, Gayron Reynolds; son, Steven Dewayne Reynolds; and grandson, Trey Allen Durham.
He is survived by sons, Shannon Reynolds and wife, Sherry, Payton Reynolds, Tyler Reynolds and Brandon Ford; daughters, Mickie Gunter, Sherri Durham and husband, Jeffy; sisters, Linda Stinson and Kay Storie; friend of the family, Oshea Wiggins; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers were Dakota Gunter, Brian Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds, Jonah Durham, Josh Durham and Cameron Reynolds. Honorary Pallbearers were Justus Durham.
