Building Demolished For New County Building Site

A former heritage church building nestled in the center of town was demolished last week after a long-surviving centennial anniversary.

The structure that once stood on West Broad Street was said to have been an old log building in earlier times and is also said to have housed the first Livingston Church of Christ after six or eight families came together to form the congregation in 1847, but dark times would soon set in on that house of worship when violent attacks between both Union and Confederate forces broke out.
