Nursing Home Building Project Outlook Improves

The outlook on the capital improvements project at the Overton County Health and Rehab (OCHR) center may be improving after the board received a financial data report from the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who conducts the facility’s annual audit in their regular meeting on Thursday night.

“A lot of facilities in the state have been struggling the last few years due to a decline in census, but they’ve (OCHR) been able to maintain that census and have managed it well,” said James R. Jobe, CPA, CGMA, of Jobe, Hastings and Associates, in a phone call with the Livingston Enterprise. “They have a strong reserve to weather anything that comes,” he said.
