County To Accept $300,000 Gift

The Overton County Budget Committee approved a reported $300,000 cash gift with restrictive terms from a “citizen of the community,” received a commendation from the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury on their outstanding work and discussed several other items up for consideration on the agenda on Thursday night.

The cash gift was approved through a resolution that would allow the acceptance of a $300,000 private donation to purchase 1.07 acres of property that is to be used for a county services building in Livingston.
