E-911 Email Campaign Pushed To State Board

An email campaign “to ensure the current 911 district and the employees of the district are secured,” launched by Overton/Pickett E-911 Communications Director Chris Masiongale just days before the Tennessee Emergency Communications Board (TECB) would hold a vote to allow or deny a Pickett County referendum was confirmed recently by the sender, but it appears that there will be no changes to the decision made by the state board on denying the request given that all comments from “the public” were accepted.

In that email, approximately 170 recipients were advised on Saturday morning, July 28 at 3:58 a.m. to send an email to Department of Commerce and Insurance Executive Director Curtis Sutton, and “simply state ‘As a resident of the state of Tennessee I oppose the creation of a new 911 district within the current 911 of Overton/Pickett 911.’”
