Inez Thrasher, 85 of the Fellowship Community passed away on July 8 in the comfort of her home. Funeral services were held on July 13 at Livingston First Baptist Church. Bro. Scott Allred officiated. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
She was born in Overton County on Aug. 18, 1932. She was a 1950 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the Livingston First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and sewing with her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter and Eula Reeder Vaughn; husband, Bill Thrasher; son, Billy Joe Thrasher; brothers, Derward Vaughn, Raleigh Vaughn, Cratus Vaughn and Milburn Vaughn; sisters, Eddis Sells and Agnus Bilbrey.
She is survived by her son, David Thrasher and wife, Beverly of Livingston; daughter, Dr. Karen Thrasher Carroll and husband, Ronnie of Knoxville; grandchildren, Gregg Rader, Nick Rader, Nicole Hughes, Danielle Srock, Matt Thrasher, Nate Thrasher and Kayla Cope; great grandchildren, Jake Hughes, Mia Hughes, Charlie Srock, Finn Srock, Huxley Thrasher and Tyson Cope.
Pallbearers were David Thrasher, Matt Thrasher, Nate Thrasher, Gregg Rader, Nick Rader and Tim Vaughn.

Jere H. Garrett, 60 of Cookeville passed from this life on June 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. A Memorial Service is to be held on July 14 at Victory Baptist Church in Crossville. Crest Lawn Funeral Home-Cremation Center is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born in Monterey on Nov. 8, 1957.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Garrett and Carlene Allred Ledbetter.
He is survived by brother and sister-in-law, James and Ruth Ledbetter of Monterey.
