Board of Trustees Meeting To Be Held

The Falling Springs Cemetery Board of Trustees will hold a meeting on June 23 at 5 p.m. at Falling Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall to elect a new trustee. Anyone with interest in the cemetery is welcome to attend.

Deadline For Dairy Margin Protection Program To Be Extended

The re-enrollment deadline for the Margin Protection Program (MPP) for Dairy will be extended until June 22, 2018. All dairy operations must make new coverage elections for 2018 during the re-enrollment period, even if the operation was enrolled during the previous 2018 signup. Falcon Application Acceptance To Be Held

The 2018 application period for the trapping of a peregrine falcon to be used in falconry will begin July 1. The TWRA will award permits to the winners of a draw to be held on Aug. 29. Falconers may go to the Falconry Information and Application under the Law Enforcement section of the TWRA’s website to locate the application and view the requirements. Completed applications must be postmarked by Aug. 15.

SOVC Meeting To Be Held

The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Myers-Zollicoffer Camp 1990 monthly meeting is to be held on Thursday, June 21 at 7 p.m. at VFW Post 5062 in Livingston. For questions, call 931-783-3767.

Jr. Wildcat Football Sign-ups To Be Held

Driver’s License Check Points To Be Held

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting driver license roadside safety checkpoints on June 22 at 1 p.m. on Highway 136 in Overton County. Recognizing the danger presented to the public by unqualified drivers, Troopers will concentrate efforts on vehicles being operated by drivers who violate the driver license laws of Tennessee.

DUI Check Points To Be Held

The Overton County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting DUI Check Points/ Saturations County wide from June 20 through June 24.
