James Edward Brown
James Edward Brown, 70 of Hilham, passed away on May 24 in the comfort of his home. Graveside services were held at Campground Cemetery on May 25. Bro. Doug Hawkins officiated. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
He was born in Jackson County on Sept. 18, 1947. He dearly loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed fishing and spent time wood working.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Georgia Barlow Brown; and his sister, Betty Jo Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Padgett Brown of Hilham; daughters, Tonya Emerton and husband, Jeff of Hilham, and Wendy Ringley and Fiance Loren “Cheeseburger” Reed of Hilham; grandsons, Jamie Emerton and James Lee Ringley and wife, Kally; granddaughter, Alexis Ringley; great granddaughter, Raylyn Neal; brother, Johnny Brown of Hilham; sister, Georgia Hensley of Cookeville; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Jeff Emerton, Jamie Emerton, James Lee Ringley, Loren “Cheeseburger” Reed, Richard Brown and Johnny Glen Hill.
