The Livingston Academy Wildcats will be heading back to the state tournament – the first appearance by the squad since 2013.
The Wildcats played host to the Signal Mountain Eagles Monday night in the Substate game. The game began with Signal Mountain scoring a three point shot within the first minute but it was not long until the Wildcats caught up. Wade Neely scored the first shot of the game and Carter Hayes followed up with a three pointer within the first two minutes of the first quarter. Cole Smith had a nice blocked shot on defense that kept the Eagles from scoring toward the end of the first quarter. The Wildcats were just warming up, but the nerves were still there.
