Michael Eugene Cox
Michael Eugene Cox, 49 of the Turkey Town Community, passed away on Jan. 29 at his home with his loving family by his side. Funeral services were held on Jan. 31 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. John Mabrey officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1968 in Jackson County. He worked for many years as an EMT for the Overton County Ambulance Service. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, fishing and shooting pool with his sons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Cox.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Tammy Cox of the Turkey Town Community; sons, Cody Cox and Nicholas Cox of Livingston; mother, Hilda Cox of the Turkey Town Community; sister, Sharon Ashlock of Hilham; grandchildren, Mitchell Cox, Cameron Cox, Elly Whiteside and Bella Whiteside; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included: Brandon McDonald, Paul Valenzuela, Dylan Ashlock, Joe Stansberry, Jeremy Vaughn, James Reeder and Johnny Arney. Honorary Pallbearers included: James Dale, Raymond Brown and Lee Hollingsworth.
Gary Wayne Looper
Gary Wayne Looper, 55 of Livingston, passed away on Feb. 1 in the comfort of his home in Livingston. Funeral services were held on Feb. 4 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Hunter Cove Cemetery.
He was born on May 14, 1962. He was a mechanic and enjoyed working on vehicles. He loved being with his family and teaching them everything he could.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kermit Conrad Looper; and brother, Michael Looper.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 38 years, Mrs. Rita Faye Roark Looper of Livingston; sons, Casey Looper and wife Ashli of Westmoreland and Tyler Looper of Cleveland; daughter, Megan Daniel Looper of Livingston; mother, Sue Looper of Livingston; sisters, Felcia Mitchell and Carol Moore; grandchildren, Whaylon Looper, Ashtin Looper, Aeden Looper, Kyler Looper, Madison Looper, Emily Looper and Aubrey Looper.
Pallbearers included: Casey Looper, Tyler Looper, Hubert Roark, John Fletcher, Art Smith and Jerry Harris. Randy Coffee was an honorary pallbearer.
Jack Donald Davis
Jack Donald Davis, 87 of Knoxville and formerly of Allons, passed away on Jan. 31 surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services were held on Feb. 5 from the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1930 in Allons. He was a longtime member of the Arlington Church of Christ and retired in 1984 from Flowers Baking Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lora Kerr Davis.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 66 years, Rosaline Ferril Davis; sons, Don Davis and wife Vicki and Ken Davis and wife Deborah; grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Sarah Chapman, Jeremy and Seth Davis, great-grandchildren, Jackson, Bailey, Isabel, Emma, Charlie, Olivia and Ava; sister Jean Arms Watson; nephews, Jack, Larry and David Arms, and extended church family and dear friends.
Charles Ray McDonald
Charles Ray McDonald, 78 of Livingston, passed away on Jan. 30 at Livingston Regional Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Funeral services were held on Feb. 2 from the chapel of the Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Ricardo Rodriquez officiating. Interment followed in the Aarons Chapel Cemetery.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1939 in Overton County. He worked for many years in Furniture Manufacturing and enjoyed going to the flea market.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Christene Keisling McDonald; and sister, Betty Gilliam.
Surviving relatives include his wife Evelyne Bilbrey McDonald of Livingston; sister, Juanita Phillips of Livingston; and aunt, Joyce Speck of the Highland Mountain Community.
Owen Scott Savage
Owen Scott Savage, 47 of Livingston passed away on Jan. 29. Funeral services were held Feb. 1 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Bobby Gore and Bro. Danny Staggs officiating. Interment followed in the Young Cemetery located in Grimsley.
He was born on March 30, 1970 in Livingston. He was a member of the Church of Christ and loved spending time with his family whom he loved very much. He also loved bowling and books.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Flora Savage and Oren and Elva Turner; mother in-law, Willene Cooper; aunts, Ermine Campau, Mag Holman, Mildred Ogletree, Anna Mae Savage, Christine Tidrow Carol Turner and Ruthie Turner; uncles, Roy Smith, Willie Turner, Felix Ogletree, Ray Tidrow, Claude Savage, Cordell Savage and Elzie Savage.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Lisa Savage; sons, Cooper and Jaxon Savage; daughters, Courtney, Jessica and Isabella Savage; parents, Owen and Wanda Savage; sister, Penny Auberson and husband Casey; father and mother in-law, Brite and Judy Cooper; sisters in-law, Patricia Stover and husband Scott, Rita Wright and husband Dennis; special cousin, Billy Campau; aunt, Olene Smith; uncles, Willis Turner, James Turner and wife Lois, Clifford Holman; and a host of nieces, family and friends.
