Mary Alice Dishman

Mary Alice Dishman, 76 of Livingston passed away on Nov. 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Memorial Services were held Nov. 25 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Bro. David Hill officiated.

She was born in Anderson, Madison Co., Ind. on January 24, 1941.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Alice (Reveal) Brown.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Herbert Dishman; sons, Wally Dishman and his wife Karla, William Dishman and his wife Beth, Keith Dishman and his wife Kira; daughter, Barbara Hinkle and her husband Kerry; eight Grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

 

Dora Mae Bradley Frady Lewis

Dora Mae Bradley Frady Lewis, 77 of Hilham, passed away on Nov. 22 at Meadow Brook Health & Rehab in Pulaski. Funeral Services were held Nov. 25 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Blackburn Cemetery in Bledsoe County with Bro. Tommy Frady officiating.

She was born November 4, 1940 in Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rueben and Maddie Mayfield Bradley; husband, Franklin Lewis; sisters, Anita Daugherty, Pearl Frady, Wilma Faye Frady and Claudean; brother, Robert Bradley; and grandsons, William Miller and Rueben Nathaniel Frady.
Surviving relatives include her sons, Ike Frady and wife Annette of Panama City, Fla., Johnny Frady of Dalton, Ga. and Tommy Frady and wife Sherri of Pulaski; daughters, Reva Harris and husband Jerry of Rickman, Elizabeth Slaven of Cookeville and Frances Monk of Algood; brother,

William Bradley; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Glenn Edward Phillips

Mechanic

Glenn Edward Phillips, 79, of Hanging Limb, passed away on Nov. 21 at the Overton County Health and Rehab Center in Livingston. Funeral services were held on Nov. 24 from the Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiated. Interment followed in the F.A. Norrod Cemetery.

He was born on April 20, 1938 in Overton County. He was a sawmill worker, timber cutter, drove a school bus in Overton County, worked with TDOT, a mechanic for many years and was a clocks man. He was a member of Tyler Point Freewill Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by parents, Wilburn and Flora Edwards Phillips; sister, Dorcas Barlow and brother, Bruce Phillips.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Roena Brown Phillips of Hanging Limb; son, Randy George Phillips and wife Ann of Hanging Limb; three brothers and sisters-in-law James Phillips and wife Ruby of Cookeville, Ronald Phillips and wife Clara Mae of Hanging Limb and Grady Phillips and wife Roxie of the Sunk Cane Community; and sister, Bercy Key of Monterey.

 

Kenneth Ray Norrod

Kenneth Ray Norrod, 80 of Monroe, passed away on Nov. 24 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral Services were held on Nov. 27 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Grant Norrod Cemetery with Bro. John Copeland officiating.

He was born in Overton County on December 26, 1936. He served his country from 1958 to 1961 in the United States Army.  He also served for the Alpine Fire Department and worked at Winningham Hardware. He was a Deacon at the Grace Baptist Church in Alpine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.G. and Cordie Brown Norrod; an infant sister and brother.

Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 59 years, Lucy Helen Smith Norrod of Monroe; son, Jeff Norrod and wife Marsha of Monroe; daughter, Shelia Norrod of Cookeville; grandchildren, Ethan Norrod and wife Tabitha of Alpine and Elliot Norrod of Monroe; great grandchildren, Lanson Norrod and Riley Grace Norrod; brother, Billy Norrod and wife Ann of Monroe; sister, Carolyn Peterman of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.
