The Board of Aldermen approved the proposed billboard zoning ordinance amendments at their meeting last night. These amendments strictly prohibit billboards within city limits and were denied at the last Board of Alderman meeting back in October. Readers may remember billboards have been a hot topic of debate for a while in Livingston.
The first amendment removes the phrase “signs, flags or emblems of political, civic, philanthropic, educational or religious organizations all of which may not include any advertising of a commercial product or service” in section 11-203.91.
