Vickie Worley, 43, of Monroe, passed away July 26 in the comfort of her own home. Funeral services were held July 29 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Shaw and Bro. Ricky Kimbel officiating. Interment followed at Red Hill Cemetery.
She was born in Overton County June 10, 1974. She was a 1992 graduate of Livingston Academy. On November 11, 2000 she married Roger Worley and started her family.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Grady and Fannie Harvey, Willie and Lela Oakley, Will and Bonzie Worley, and Calbert and Norma Martin.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Roger Worley of Monroe ; children, Levi and Livia Worley of Monroe; parents, Roger and Diann Harvey of Monroe; brother, Chad Harvey and wife Cynthia of Algood, Tenn.; sister, Cindy Hinson and husband Noah of the Dry Hollow Community; father and mother-in-law, Bud and Joyce Worley of Monroe; and several nieces.
Pallbearers were Chad Harvey, Noah Hinson, Greg Worley, Jason Worley, Randy Dodson, Tim Sells, Landon Oakley, and Brandon Melton.
James Ronald Sells
James Ronald Sells, 70, of the Freedonia Community, passed away on July 27 at his home. A celebration of life service with family and friends was held July 29 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Nolen Cantrell officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Haskell and Bonnie Finley Sells; and infant brother, Bruce Sells.
Surviving relatives include daughter, Lia Gignac and husband Robert of Abita Springs, La.; step-daughter, Heather Jenkins and husband Ray of Covington, La.; grandchildren, Warren Sells and Bethany Gignac; step-grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah and Emily Jenkins; sisters, Juda Benson of Nashville, Janie Norris of Livingston, Janice Gore of Maryville, Tenn.; brother, Thomas Sells of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews.
Myrtle A Stringfield
Myrtle A. Stringfield, 97, of Livingston, passed away on July 31 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Aug. 2 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillion and Bro. Bobby Gore officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Overton County on Sept. 11, 1919. She loved her family, collecting antiques and sewing. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Deb Allred and Leslie Stringfield; parents, Burr and Ollie Neely Gore; stepdaughter, Billie Ray Swartz; and brother, Curtis Gore.
She is survived by daughters; Shirley Phillips, from Livingston, Faye Coleman and husband A. B., from Livingston; son-in-law, Edwin Swartz, from Birmingham, Ala.; two grandchildren, Terry Phillips and wife Amy, and Tracy Coleman; three step-grandchildren, Edwin Swartz, Jr., Steve Swartz and wife Bee, and Leslie Shultz and husband Scott; three great grandchildren, Jacye Phillips, Tanner Phillips and Ryley Phillips; six step great grandchildren.

Lydia June Scantland
Lydia Scantland passed away on Aug. 3 at the Overton County Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held on Aug. 4 at Speck Funeral Home and interment followed at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
She was born August 4, 1950 to the late Homer and Ova Stamps Auberson.
Surviving relatives include her sons; Scottie Scantland and wife Tonya, of Livingston, Steven Auberson of Livingston; daughter, Melissa Hicks of Jamestown; brothers, Ronnie Auberson and David Auberson of Livingston; four grandchildren, Isac Hicks, Kristen Delk, Kyleigh Scantland, and Hunter Auberson.
James Billy Hogue
James Billy Hogue, 78, of Livingston, passed away at the Overton County Health and Rehab on Aug. 4. Funeral services were held from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home on Aug. 6. Brian Hogue and Bro. Jerry Harris officiated. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
He was born in on July 11, 1939. He loved his children, going to church and helping others. He also enjoyed fishing, working on cars and all other kinds of machinery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bedford and Beulah Bowman Hogue; brothers, Joe Hogue, Melvin Hogue and John Hogue; sisters, Essie Hogue and Jean Rayburn.
James is survived by his wife, Sylvia Coleene Hogue of Livingston; daughters, Sheila Greene and husband Dennis of Livingston, Cindy Robbins and husband David of Livingston, Amy Warren and husband Jay of Livingston; son, Brian Hogue and wife Pricilla of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, John Ross Robbins and special friend Stephanie Sherfield of Murfreesboro, Brittany Greene of Mt. Juliet, Kandra Danner and husband Josh, of Livingston, Rebekah, Mason and Jacob Hogue of Murfreesboro; sisters, Edna Smith and husband Denny of Dodson’s Branch, Joyce Ramsey and Junior of Algood.
