The Livingston 11U All-Stars recently fell short in their quest to gain the 2017 Cal Ripken Baseball State Tournament for Tennessee.
Still, the team fought hard for three days with the only losses coming to the eventual Champion and Runner-up. The Tournament began for Livingston against Giles County. Giles County was able to mount one large inning to coast to victory. In the second inning, a series of walks and an error led to six runs for the eventual champion. Livingston continued to scratch and claw to stay in the game and actually outscored the opponent 4-3 over the final 4 innings but was not able to overcome the deficit.
