If you are eagerly awaiting the approval of an ordinance banning dogs from all city parks, you will have to wait just a little while longer following last Monday’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen meeting.
During a public hearing before the regular meeting, the Board re-heard an ordinance regarding dogs at the city parks that was introduced some time ago. The board looked to city attorney John Meadows to make some changes and bring them something new at a later date. The aldermen agreed they wanted a re-draft of the ordinance and looked at options of limiting dogs in the city park during ball season and special events.
