Livingston Sign Ordinance Called Illegal

The Livingston Board Of Zoning Appeals (BZA) heard another appeal from Roland Advertising last Tuesday night in regards to a variance on a sign the company wants to place within the city limits.

The board denied the variance.

According to officials, the size of all off site signs, in all zoning districts, can be no larger than nine square feet and a billboard cannot be erected anywhere. Roland is looking to obtain a 264 square foot variance to establish an off-premise sign on the property located on Bradford-Hicks Drive and Church Street. According to the board, Roland has permission from the property owner to post the sign.
