With the recent departure of the person who was doing the job, Overton County Sheriff John Garrett is proposing to change the way the job of Jail Administrator is handled by his department.
Garrett told the county’s Safety Committee that former Jail Administrator Erin Bullard left the position this month to take another job. He says that rather than hiring someone to fill the slot, he believes that the job duties can be handled in house. He says that since Bullard’s resignation, Chief Deputy Tim Poore has been splitting the responsibilities with Susan Robbins, who is the jail’s office manager.
